The targets align with the Paris Agreement’s goal of limiting the global temperature increase to 1.5°C by the end of the century. The targets were validated by the SBTi in July 2023. The target-setting methodology uses a cross-sector pathway and market-based accounting approach. Future developments are considered as Demant’s Transition Plan is under constant development, and new levers will be added over time, especially with a view to reducing scope 3 GHG emissions as new information becomes available.
